🎙️ No New episode this week on the SDR Game Podcast.
I’ve been focused on the onboarding of my new role so if you missed the news on LinkedIn.
I’m back to SDR leadership 🎉
I just joined Agorapulse, a Social Media Management Software, to build their SDR function.
Glad to be back to create and lead an SDR team, and craft impactful GTM strategies with SDR teams.
Expect a lot more outbound GTM, and PLG strategies, going upmarket, building SDRs team from scratch, and how to craft your messaging.
Recently, I chatted with a young professional in a community, eager for advice on investing in real estate, stocks, and more.
It reminded me of a pivotal moment in my own journey.
My Epiphany
I began my career in 2016, and like many, I wanted to invest in real estate, crypto, and stocks.
I consumed countless podcasts, and articles, and even invested a few thousand dollars.
But one podcast episode shifted my entire perspective.
The message was clear: The best investment is in yourself.
This is something I did unconsciously after getting graduated, and I can see the results today.
Why?
Control
Unlike the unpredictable nature of stocks or real estate, investing in yourself offers control. In tech sales, with the right skills and company, you can double your salary in under a year.
Immediate impact
Stocks are a long game.
But upskilling yourself? That brings immediate results. Within the right company, you can get promoted within 6 months or 1 year. At 2 previous companies, I got promoted 5 times in less than 3 years.
Growth
Today, I'm part of Pavilion, a premium community.
I buy 20 books annually and continuously learn in my new SDR leadership role by talking to my peers.
My advice to you
Before diving into stocks or real estate, invest in YOU.
Buy that recommended book.
Dedicate 10% of your week to personal growth:
Reflect, read, listen to insightful podcasts (like The SDR Game 👀), and talk to your peers.
And most crucially, apply what you learn.
That's where the magic happens.
While I might invest in stocks or other investments in the future, for now, I'm focused on the one asset I can control: myself.
Your Turn:
How do you prioritize personal investment?
Key takeaways
Prioritize personal growth before external investments.
Take actionable steps: learn, reflect, and apply.
The results of investing in yourself are immediate and within your control.
So, there we go. Thanks for reading.
That's all for this Sunday.
Quick Reminder: If you like my emails please do “add to address book” or reply.
See you again next Sunday.
Happy prospecting!
