This newsletter is special because I was planning to pause the newsletter to prep my move to Mexico.
But like many others, I have been affected by the layoffs on Thursday at Chili Piper.
So, I won’t pause it!
I was really surprised, sad, and confused. But now, writing this newsletter 4 days after. I’m better. I know it happened because something better is coming.
I’m grateful for the 2 years I spent at Chili Piper.
On Friday, I announced it on LinkedIn.
I received more than 60 messages and 150 comments on my post.
Thank you so much for all the help. I’m so grateful 🙏🙏
I was not expecting to get so much help from the community, and I'm still going through my inbox and replying to all the comments, right now.
So far I already scheduled 3 interviews, I'm building my list of companies I want to work for, and on Monday I'm starting prospecting.
What’s next for me?
I’m going to focus on SDR Game, the newsletter, and the podcast to create the best content possible for SDRs meanwhile I find my next gig.
This week, I'm going to record different episodes for the SDR Game podcast on what to do after being laid off, how to get a job as an SDR, etc. And share different resources.
Also, I want to help SDRs who have also been affected by the layoff.
Also to help other SDRs getting laid off: this week I’m launching a job board for SDRs.
To help all the SDRs who have been affected by the layoffs recently and help businesses who are looking for great talent.
Do you want to help me?
If so, thank you!
You can help me in 3 different ways:
Share the SDR game newsletter or the SDR podcast with your friends or with your network by clicking on the button below:
Share the job board when it will be ready (I’m working on this, this week)
Help me find a job: I’ve included the details of what I’m looking for, below.
I'm in the market for a fully remote role beginning 11/23.
Over the past 2 years at Chili Piper, I took a step back to be an SDR and became number 1 in qualified pipeline during 2 quarters (out of 10-15 SDRs).
Then promoted 4 times, until leading the Enterprise SDR team. Last month we had a record month in opportunities and pipeline created.
As a manager, we promoted 10+ SDRs from my teams.
Here are what I'm looking for:
1. Remote only
I'm moving to Mexico in 2 months. So I will be working on Central Time.
2. Roles
SDR Leadership: looking to work with an Enterprise org (or open to other team sizes)
Enterprise/Strategic SDR: ready to go back on the ground and go after those big accounts.
AE: strong skills in prospecting and open to learning AE skills
3. Buyer personas
Preference for GTM teams, but open to other personas (IT, data, HR, etc).
I appreciate any and all recommendations/intros you may have.
Let's go find this next opportunity! 💪
